Triveni Narayanswamy

Triveni graduated with an honours degree in chemistry and is a member of the ACCA. She started her accountancy career with AF Ferguson and Co, chartered accountants in India, as a trainee. AF Ferguson & Co was India’s largest audit firm, with connections to KPMG in that country.

She subsequently worked in an audit practice, and as finance manager for a VC-backed internet security company for whom she set up complete accounting procedures and software system for day-to-day accounting. Triveni was also responsible for providing management with monthly management information reports. She regularly liaised with Reserve Bank of India, the Indian Central Bank, to set up the company’s overseas operations.

In the UK, Triveni has worked with a property company, heading a team of three assistants and was responsible for finalisation of year-end accounts of six individual companies under the Companies Act 1985 along with the overseas companies, and preparation of consolidated accounts for the group under UK GAAP, regular liaison with auditors, and ensuring completion of audits for all companies.

Other duties included cashflow management, preparation of budgets and projections and comparisons with actual, monthly management reporting including presentation of property costings and cash flow statements. expenditure evaluations and calculations of return on investment on major investments, ensuring compliance with Companies House regulations, day to day administration and management of accounts departments, and timely filing of VAT, PAYE and CIS returns.

Triveni has worked on various FD Solutions clients, helping them with management accounts, systems implementation, consolidation of accounts, liaison with auditors, Companies House and HMRC, and general bookkeeping.
