Mark qualified with Coopers & Lybrand in 1989, before moving into his first commercial role as Group Financial Controller for Sega’s European Consumer Products division. He then worked in the publishing sector for five years, undertaking a number of roles for Hodder Headline plc developing his experience of financial and corporate governance reporting for listed companies.

Following Hodder’s acquisition by WH Smith in 1999, Mark went on to work for a series of technology start-ups where he established and developed the finance functions, which included systems implementation, business planning and fundraising. He subsequently returned to publishing, working as Finance Director for one of the UK’s largest independent book publishers before joining FD Solutions.
