Gary Lim FCA

Gary trained as a Chartered Accountant having spent the first few years of his working career in marketing. After qualification, he went into management consulting at Arthur Young (now part of Ernst & Young) in Malaysia, and subsequently held financial controller positions in diverse sectors including private healthcare, music, furniture fabrication and retailing, building construction, and disaster-recovery.

While abroad, in his role as Finance Director, he successfully engineered the integration of a family concern into one of the top listed companies in the country.

His most notable assignments with FD Solutions include a 17-month period acting as interim Head of Finance of the renowned Royal College of Nursing, where he successfully oversaw the changes in financial reporting in compliance with new charity reporting requirements, and a change in auditors within the same challenging timeframe.

Gary has also been heavily involved in the preparation of monthly management accounts for a multi-million pound FD Solutions property client, and undertook a substantial assignment for a client group who operated a large group of care homes across the UK.

His special areas are private healthcare and charity sector reporting.
